Country Artist Matt Jordan Releases New Christmas EP
Heartland Rock / Country artist and songwriter Matt Jordan releases a Christmas EP featuring two holiday favorites -
“Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” a duet with his sister-in-law Alex Jordan and "Please Come Home for Christmas." The EP was produced by Grammy-Award-nominated producer, Sal Oliveri (P!nk, Chris Stapleton, Sheryl Crow).
“I've always loved Christmas time and this just felt like the year to release holiday music for the first time,” said Matt Jordan. “To me, 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas' is an all-time classic and gets me more in the Christmas spirit than anything else and growing up. I've always loved how The Eagles performed 'Please Come Home for Christmas' and that's why I chose these two songs - my personal favorites. My sister-in-law, Alex Jordan, and I used to sing in church together, so when I decided to make the song a duet, I thought it would be fun to bring her in.”
Matt Jordan recently released his new album, The Gamble, featuring 11 songs, seven of which were singles released in 2022. The album showcases the rising star’s gritty vocals and country/rock influences – drawing comparisons to the likes of artists such as Bruce Springsteen and Eric Church. He wrote or co-wrote all but one of the songs on the album, highlighting his artistry as a true storyteller.
The Christmas EP is released on the heels of his success with his recent singles "Wrangler" (Sept 2022) that caught the attention of Jeep®, who posted a reel of the Official Music Video, “The Gamble” (Sept 2022), “One More Round,” (August 2022), "Your Town" (July 2022) among others that made it on various playlists like Spotify’s Country Rocks, New Music Nashville, Next From Nashville, New Music Friday: Country and Fresh Finds: Country to name a few.
